Merida Mountain Bikes
can I perform small bounces with my mountain bike? is it dangerous?
I ride a Merida sub 60-v with RST Gila ML 100 mm fork.
can I perform small bounces with my bike? minor jumps over obstacles, or pavements? little jumps (no more than 10-20 cm high)? is it dangerous with such a simple fork?
It will be fine, Just watch out since that fork does not have any rebound control. What happens is if you take a jump to big and preload the fork too much it will shoot you straight back since all it is isa spring (with a slight damping). But like I said with a fork with no rebound be carefull, ive gotten owned a few times riding sh**** forks. Tis why I bought a fox.
