Learn to Ride a Bike

Hello Harvey,

I purchased your book yesterday at Brookwood Mall. I read it with my
morning coffee. Excellent!! I could feel the love that you have for your
children as a read through each page. I can't wait to try this out with
my girls (4 and 8). I will definitely send others the link to your site.
Thank you for sharing this technique and opening the doors to a
happier childhood for so many children.

Best Regards,
Deidre

Hi Harvey,

I met you at the camp expo at the Brookwood Mall a few
weeks ago. We bought the book and have tried your method
of training to ride without training wheels. I wanted to tell you
my 5 year old son, RJ tried to balance on a bike he has without
the training wheels and started off a little slow and shaky.
But my husband took off the pedals for him and now he sails
around making ‘s’ curves going up and down the driveway. He
really has built his self-confidence in the past few weeks. He
is ready to try another bike we have without the training
wheels, but with pedals. We are going to work on it this
weekend. We have read the story of the Bits family to our
three children and our 4 year is thinking about though. She
likes to cruise on her BIG bike with training wheels and won’t
let us take them or the pedals off. We’re not giving up. I know when she sees her brother; she’ll be right behind him.

I want to thank you for sharing your method with us and wish
much success!

My son, Will, is eight year old and had not interest in riding his bicycle without training wheels. I saw the poster for the “No Training Wheels” classes and was able to talk to Mr. Nix about Will. Will loves to read so I left the book out for him to “discover” and he read it at least 6 times the first day. The next day, he informed me I was supposed to take off his pedals, chain, etc.. I took off just the pedals. He then informed me that afternoon that he was ready to put them back on! I was surprised by his determination! I replaced the pedals, he hopped on and rode off…….. never slowing down or looking back. My niece and I were jumping up and down and laughing but he only ignored us because he expected to be able to ride all along because “ the book said so!”

Will loves to read and follow directions that are written. He is a visual leaner due to his autism. This book was just what he needed to get him going. He rides his bike every day now and loves it!

Thank you for coming to my gym so I was able to hear about your book. Good luck and God bless you and your family.
